Southbridge Farmers See Health Gains with Vitalise

We love hearing real-world results from farmers using Vitalise mineral supplements.

Recently, the Rural Guardian profiled Jason and Jade McKenzie, Southbridge dairy farmers who have been blending tradition with modern technology on their 388-hectare operation.

Among the innovations they highlighted was the role of Vitalise mineral supplements in dairy herd health.

Here’s what they said:

We supplement the herd with Vitalise pellets in the shed and have seen a notable reduction in metabolic issues since doing so. It took us about a month to get the rate right, but once we got it up to 100 grams per day, the metabolic problems dropped dramatically. It’s definitely made a difference to be able to get that consistently into each cow.”

He explained it’s not just what you feed, but how you get it into the cows that counts:

“If you want to get calcium or magnesium into your cows another way – how do you do it? In water, which they don’t drink as much of when it rains, or if it’s dust it gets windy, and you lose half of it. We find the Vitalise pellets just drop in front of them every day, and we know it’s working.”

For us, this underlines what we’ve always believed: consistent delivery is key. When every cow gets the right nutrients every day, the results are tangible. That’s why Vitalise pellets are:

• Easy to feed in-shed

• Customisable to each herd’s needs

• A precise way to deliver Ca, Mg and essential minerals

• Low-waste, no-fuss compared to water or dusting methods
